Autumn Conference 2024
The conference featured highly productive sessions that included comprehensive updates on several key areas, such as the CEN standard on osteopathic healthcare provision and its history and processes. Attendees benefited from an enriching workshop focused on mentoring and leadership, discussions outlining the committee’s plans and objectives for upcoming work and projects, and valuable updates shared by all national representatives.
A special acknowledgment is given to the Luxembourg Association of Osteopaths (ALDO) link to members page for their exceptional planning and warm hospitality, which made the stay truly memorable. Their dedicated efforts also ensured the attendance of Luxembourg’s Health Minister, Madam Martine Deprez, adding a unique and historic aspect to the event. This marked the first occasion that a health minister attended an Osteopathy Europe Conference—an achievement deeply appreciated by the OE Board and members.
Madam Deprez’s presence was further distinguished by her insightful and relevant speech, as well as her active participation in the subsequent debate. Her willingness to address questions on the regulation of the osteopathic profession in Europe and the role of osteopaths within the established healthcare system enriched the discussions and provided invaluable perspectives.
