The Österreichische Gesellschaft für Osteopathie (OEGO), the Austrian Association of Osteopathy, is the professional body representing the interests of osteopaths in Austria. It is actively campaigning for the official recognition and protection of the professional title “Osteopath” in Austria, with the goal of achieving standardized and legally regulated training as well as regulation of the osteopathic profession.
OEGO supervises the high training standards of its members for the benefit and safety of patients.

The organization maintains a national register of all its members.
Full members have completed osteopathic training that is recognized and registered by the association.

The training criteria defined by OEGO set minimum standards for professional competence to ensure safe osteopathic treatment, working in cooperation with osteopathic training centres throughout Austria.

Numerous services are available to OEGO members. They are regularly informed about the latest scientific studies and developments in osteopathy and receive discounts on insurance, training, and continuing education.
Members can also make use of the court of arbitration, which provides mediation in the event of patient complaints.
